Welcome to Crater High School — where tradition meets opportunity, and every student is part of something bigger than themselves.

Crater has always held a special place in the heart of our community. We’re proud to serve the families of Central Point, Gold Hill, and Sams Valley, and we understand the responsibility that comes with being the final step in our students’ K-12 journey. Our halls are filled with generations of Comets who’ve gone on to make a difference — in college, in careers, in the trades, in the military, and in their communities.

We carry forward a strong tradition of success, but we don’t rest on that tradition. At Crater, we’re always pushing forward — creating new opportunities, building strong relationships, and connecting learning to life after high school. Our mission is to give every student a path — one that’s purposeful, supported, and aligned with their goals.

Our vision is simple but powerful: we work in partnership with families and our community to build a respectful and inclusive environment where students grow, explore, and prepare for what’s next. Whether they’re discovering a passion in the arts, mastering a complex math concept, learning to lead, or getting career-ready, our students leave Crater equipped to succeed.
